Q. How many safe driving points are awarded for completion of the class?
A. If you are taking the class voluntarily or by DMV order and have not taken the class for points in the past two years, you are awarded FIVE Safe Driving Points upon completion. You can have up to five safe driving points "in the bank"  If you are taking the class by court order, then you are not eligible to receive points.
Q. Do I receive a certificate the day of class?
A. You will receive your certificate at the end of the class.
Q. How does the DMV or Court know I completed the class?
A. We electronically submit your completion to the DMV within two days of the class. It is usually done sooner. For submission to the court, it is the responsibility of the student to submit the completion certificate to the court that directed you to take the class.
Q. I lost my certificate. How do I get a replacement certificate?
A. There is $15 replacement fee for duplicate certificates. Auotomated records are kept on file for two years. To request a replacement certificate, CLICK HERE.  Be sure to closely follow the directions in the item so that we have all the information needed to research your class record.
Q. Iím under 18. Does my parent need to come to class with me?
A. No, your parent does not have to come to class with you unless a judge ordered them to attend. You will get the same certificate of completion with or without a parent present.
Q. How can I confirm my registration.
A. If you registered online or by phone, you are definitely confirmed. If you would like to reconfirm your registration, you can send an email to or call 703-304-8928.
Q. Do I need to bring anything to class?
A. The only thing that you need to bring to class is a photo ID. All class materials are provided.
Q. Do we get breaks during the class?
A. The DMV requires the class to include eight hours of instruction. The class will go from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will include two five minute breaks and one twenty minute break. If any breaks exceed that time, the class will extend past 6:30 p.m.
